Brussels sprouts are one of those foods that people either like or hate. Personally, I enjoy them. This side dish recipe for flattened brussels sprouts appeared on my TikTok recently and it looks like a fun spin on the vegetable.

Here's the recipe by @cookiterica:
Put some water over your brussels and cook them in a microwavable safe bowl for 10 minutes.
Smash each brussels sprout on parchment paper using a glass (if not easy, microwave longer).
In a small bowl, mix olive oil, pepper, garlic, Dijon mustard, or whatever other seasonings you'd prefer.
Rub the oil mixture over your flat brussels, season with salt, and sprinkle grated mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Bake in oven at 425 degrees until brown, like picture.
Optional: add balsamic glaze for more flavor.
